THE Port Moresby Racquets Club (PomRC) is now in its second month of Tennis and Squash programs.

Junior development squads are preparing for domestic and international competitions in the first quarter.

In tennis, six juniors have been selected into the Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL) PNG team. They are preparing for the 2026 Pacific Oceania Junior Championships.

The individuals are Timothy Koliwan (12&Under Boys) and Alani Smith (12U Girls). River-Jordan Hakena (14U-B) and Rehoni Rumbam (14U-G) are also included. Additionally, Eric Michon (16U-B) and Colita Hakena (16U-G) are part of the group.

The POJC is scheduled to take place in Lautoka, Fiji on April 10-18.

This year’s POMRC Junior Tennis participation events include the Tennis Queensland J250 and J125 CBC Green Cairns Junior Championships.

Meanwhile in POMRC’s junior squash, siblings Leonie (U15) and Gabriella Cox (U18) will take part in the Oceania Juniors. They will also compete in the Australian Junior Open in April in Melbourne, Australia.
