LAE City FC is set to make another long awaited appearance with the 2026 OFC Mens Champions League now scheduled for Lautoka and Ba in Fiji.

This follows after the Morobe based club secured the 2025 Premier Soccer League (PSL) minor premiership with an unbeaten run throughout the regular season.
The club consists of young guns who proved their worth last season, with a couple of them representing the U23 PNG Kapuls side during the 2025 MSG Prime Minister’s Cup in Port Moresby.
Meanwhile OFC released the confirmed draws earlier this week with Lae City pooled in Group B.
They will compete against hosts Rewa FC (Fiji), Galaxy FC (Vanuatu) and the recent qualifying tournament winner Tupapa Maraerenga FC (Cook Islands).

Rewa FC were semi-finalists in 2024, whilst Tupapa Maraerenga FC won the qualifying tournament for the second consecutive edition in Samoa earlier this year. Galaxy FC and Lae City FC are both making long-awaited returns the competition.
In Group A, 13-time champions Auckland City FC (New Zealand) will be attempting to defend their crown and have been drawn alongside Central Coast FC (Solomon Islands) AS Venus (Tahiti) and AS Tiga Sport (New Caledonia).

Auckland City FC’s clash with AS Venus will be a replay of the 2022 OFC Men’s Champions League final, whilst Central Coast FC were also semi-finalists in 2022, with AS Tiga Sport reaching the last four in 2025.

The OFC Men’s Champions League 2026 will be the 25th edition of the tournament, since its inception in 1987.  
The tournament kicks is set for kick off on Aug 9-22.
