DARTS Federation of PNG is urging all its dart associations of its affiliation fees and deadlines for 2025 and 2026.

The federation under management of new executives, new governance and accountability processes and procedures have introduced this to guarantee the code moves ahead.

“We sincerely hope all darts enthusiasts see the overall objectives for darts to move forward. We also conducted our first AGM online this year and look forward to many more similar meetings.”

“If associations want to be part of this journey and ensure their players are eligible for future sanctioned events and international representation, it is vital to affiliate with the Dart Federation of PNG.”

The annual affiliation fee is set at K1,000 and the biennially (K2,000) as a recommendation by the federation to recognize associations and their players’ eligibility for all sanctioned events during this period.

“Players need to be registered as well with the Federation on an annual basis. A fee of K20 is imposed. Separate Tournament Fees will be applied as well for Federation sanctioned Events.

“Let’s grow the sport of darts together from the local oche to the world stage.”

The Darts federation continues to develop and grow the sports since its officially acceptance last September as a member of the World Dart Federation (WDF).

Since then, the country was proudly represented on the international stage most recently at the 2025 4th South Pacific Dart Championships (SPDC) in Fiji.

The Men’s National Team won Gold and their youngest female player (Sarah Pepena) was among few women that earned the prestigious 180 Award.

“Our growth doesn’t stop there. Our President Molean Kilepak was appointed Vice President of South Pacific Darts Association (SPDA), the umbrella dart organization responsible for SPDC and for advocating for the inclusion of darts in the Pacific Games.

“His involvement will create exciting new pathways for all dart enthusiasts, both in PNG and the region,” the federation added.

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
