KAINANTU Corporate Touch Football Inc. has received a boost of K10,000 from K92 Mining Limited as they head into the 2025 season.

President Elmo Pasiro said after the presentation on Sunday, this now supports their plans to progress with the juniors and open competition.

“Kainantu Corporate Touch is grateful for the funding we have received from Kainantu Mining (K92); they have been really supportive towards our competition for the last three years.”

He said K92 initially came on board in 2022 backing their athletes to compete in the 2022 National Touch Championships in Lae (Morobe), 2023 in Popondetta (Northern) and now this year.

Meanwhile Pasiro confirmed that competitions are underway following a six-week preseason since March.

This year they have also welcomed new teams into their competition.

“On behalf of the Kainantu Touch, I would like to welcome the Corporate Entity clubs to Kainantu Corporate Touch Football Inc. into 2025 season.”

The clubs are: KKB Ltd, East-10 Engineering Ltd, Arirang Ltd, Enena Enterprise Ltd, NCR Designers & Construction Ltd, PUA Resource Ltd, Bildevco and Arkau Coffee Ltd.

“We are also looking forward to preparations for the 2025 National Championships now set for Alotau in Milne Bay Province.”

“Selections will start throughout the competition with the final squad to be named before the event in December,” he added.
