NATIONAL Capital District Darts Association is now accepting expressions of interests and registration as it prepares for the 2025 season.

NCDDA secretary Baxter Torie made this announcement on Friday via NCDDA social media. He informed interested clubs and teams about participation after a successful year last season.

This year they will be introducing a new online system to upgrade their competition.

“Season 2025 will be an exciting season, as we look ahead to introducing ‘DartConnect’ to the NCDDA Competition.”

“We trialed it out at the Corporate Darts last year. It was a success. This will see us as the first Association in Papua New Guinea to use DartConnect in its competition.”

He said the match format used in their earlier season will change. Their scores and statistics will be live and in real-time during the competitions.

“Exciting times ahead so we are prepared to get those Expression of Interests (EOI),” he added.

NCDDA has now introduced a new division to the competition due to its popularity. This year will see the Premiers, Division 1 and Division 2.

“The split for existing teams to Division 1 and Division 2 will be done based on last year’s final rankings. This change will occur after confirmation of EOIs.”

Meanwhile, they expect Premier division’s 12 confirmed teams to return. Division 1 will slot 14 teams. Division 2 is expected to host new teams.

Expressions of Interest are due on March 8. Player and profile registrations are due on March 14. These are needed ahead of preseason and season proper competitions.
